Person injured after accident in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, Maine (WABI) – One person was taken to a hospital after a crash in Newburgh Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on Western Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, a car struck the front wheel of a dump truck before hitting two other cars.

We were told the car then rolled over and the driver had to be freed.

The sheriff’s office says the driver has non-life-threatening injuries.

No name has been released at this time.

There is no word on the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation.
