Man dies after Pahrump motorcycle accident

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of a man who recently died in a motorcycle accident.

According to the post, motorcyclist Jim Weger died Friday after a collision with a commercial vehicle along Manse Road just before 6 p.m., according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Emergency Services Chief Scott Lewis.

Died at the scene

“When emergency responders arrived on the scene, they were met by deputies who stated that the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene,” Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times. “Deputies continued to provide assistance at the scene by assisting with the investigation, both through the Sheriff’s Office and NHP, by providing lighting at the scene for the duration of the investigation. At that time, the victim was recovered and removed. “Crews were ultimately released without incident.”

Valued family member

As stated on the GoFundMe account posted by Kristina Towels, Weger was described as a treasured son, father and grandfather who brought much love and light into the lives of everyone who knew him.

The family’s final agreements

“As we grapple with Jim’s death, we face the difficult task of arranging Jim’s final farewell,” Towels said. “At the moment we need to organize the cremation, but unfortunately the financial burden of this unexpected expense on our family is overwhelming at this already difficult time.

“Our family is grateful for all of your support and love. Jim will be missed by everyone.”

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by local authorities.

As of Monday, a total of $1,620 had been raised toward the $2,060 goal.
