Charges of 1st degree sexual assault filed against Scottsbluff man

A 20-year-old Scottsbluff man makes his first court appearance today on a charge of first-degree sexual assault.

Jacob Left Hand was arrested last week after the female victim contacted police to say she had been sexually assaulted.

She claims she told Left Hand to stop three times during the crime, but he continued until he was finished.

Police questioned him last Thursday at the Public Security Building, then arrested him and took him to prison in Gering.

Left Hand was scheduled to be arraigned on this charge this afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
