1 dead, 3 injured in Brooklyn apartment fire

BROOKLYN – One person is dead and three people were injured after a fire broke out overnight at a Brooklyn apartment building, according to the FDNY.

The flames were reported just after 3:30 a.m. at 31-10 Brighton 3rd Street in Brighton Beach

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire burning on the second floor of the building. Sixty fire and rescue workers were on duty.

Two civilians and a firefighter were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The fire was brought under control at 4:30 a.m

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
