1 dead, 1 injured in accident in Montague County

MONTAGUE COUNTY, Texas (KSWO) – One woman is dead and another was hospitalized after a crash in Montague County Tuesday afternoon.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials say Sandra Bingham of Ryan, Oklahoma and Francis Durham of Eagletown, Oklahoma were stopped at a temporary traffic light on US Highway 81 when they were struck from behind by a tractor-trailer.

Durham was taken to Nocona General Hospital, where she later died. Bingham was taken to a hospital in Fort Worth.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
