A former Manhattan public school principal groomed and sexually abused one of his students “almost every day,” calling the girl his “princess” and his “baby,” according to a federal lawsuit.

The accuser, who now lives in Maryland, claims Brett Kimmel groped her, forced her to perform oral sex and tried to have sex with her shortly before her 18th birthday, she alleged in court papers.

Kimmel allegedly “set his sights” on the girl, identified in the files as Jane Doe, when she was in eighth grade at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School more than a decade ago.

He bombarded the victim with dozens of inappropriate text messages and emails every day during her freshman year of college and later asked her to send him shirtless selfies, she alleged. The messages allegedly continued even after the teen’s older sister confronted Kimmel about his crazy notes in the summer of 2012.

Kimmel also drove the Bronx girl to and from school and molested her during rides during her sophomore and junior years, she alleged in her lawsuit in Manhattan federal court in April against Kimmel and the city’s Department of Education.

The woman claimed her ongoing abuse was the result of the Energy Department’s “negligent oversight,” including failing to train staff and faculty to report the couple’s suspicious behavior and ignoring students’ comments about the abuse.

The city schools special investigator said there were no reports for Kimmel, who collected $182,844 in the 2015 fiscal year and left the DOE in fall 2015, according to city salary records.

The woman decided to sue years after the abuse ended “to hold the bad actor accountable so he can’t do this to someone else again,” her lawyer Julia Kuan told The Post.

The woman did not report the abuse to police at the time, Kuan noted, but declined to provide further explanation due to client confidentiality concerns.

According to court documents, she is seeking unspecified damages.

Kimmel, who now works as an educational consultant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, denied the sexual abuse allegations and called for the case to be dismissed in court filings, according to his attorney Alan Sash.
