Country Club Hills Township Police are searching for Yolanda Howell, a 78-year-old woman with dementia who has been missing for a week

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WLS) – The search continues for a missing woman in the southern suburbs.

The 78-year-old was last seen a week ago.

The cold weather only increases concerns about Yolanda Howell’s whereabouts.

The search for her is expected to intensify on Wednesday.

She was last seen at 187th Street and Cedar Avenue in Country Club Hills last Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Illinois State Police issued a missing person alert for Howell a week ago.

Police said she had dementia.

According to authorities, she is 1.70 meters tall, weighs 65 kilograms and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and blue sneakers. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

The Country Club Hills Police Department has also set up a volunteer page for anyone who would like to sign up to help find Howell, as support has been overwhelming from those wanting to help find her.
