Oklahoma woman dies in accident in Montague County

MONTAGUE COUNTY, Texas (KXII) – A McCurtain County woman died in a crash in Montague County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a car was stopped at a temporary traffic light on northbound US 81 when a tractor-trailer failed to brake and crashed into the rear of the car.

The driver of the car, Sandra Bingham, 34, of Ryan, Oklahoma, was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with injuries.

Bingham’s passenger, Francis Durham, 54, of Eagletown, was taken to Nocona General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
