Business Loop 70 was shut down after an accident at the Providence Road intersection

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Business Loop 70 in Columbia near the Providence Road intersection were closed Tuesday evening after a crash.

Cameras showed that traffic was stagnant in both directions. At 7:25 p.m. eastbound traffic started moving again

Boone County Joint Communications sent two notifications of the accident at 7:08 p.m. One of the notices said motorists should exercise caution and avoid the area if possible.
