Armed robber convicted after orchestrating attack on local casino employee | Local News

Clyde Buckley III was convicted by a jury of robbery with a firearm after robbing a casino employee in January 2024.

Buckley was released from prison just eleven days after serving a sentence for weapons possession.

Reno Police responded to a Circus Circus call around midnight on January 24, 2024 for a report of an armed robbery.

Officers learned that a casino cage attendant had been robbed at gunpoint in the parking garage by two masked men.

The supervisor reported that the masked men pointed a gun at her before dragging her down two flights of stairs and taking her belongings.

While reviewing surveillance video, officers determined that Buckley and the second suspect coordinated the robbery by wearing masks and staging a getaway driver.

Investigators recognized Buckley from previous investigations and also found video footage from earlier in the day in which Buckley was seen wearing the same clothing he wore during the robbery.

This verdict is Buckley’s third gun-related conviction.
