Man dead, woman injured after shooting in New Chicago area

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man was shot and a woman was injured following a shooting in the New Chicago neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Officers were notified of the shooting at 4:11 p.m. and rushed to the scene in the 1400 block of North Bellevue Boulevard.

According to police, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

According to MPD, there is currently no suspect.
