A Coweta County man was arrested at his parents’ home on charges of child sexual exploitation

A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the arrest of a Coweta County man for alleged possession of child pornography.

According to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, Jordyn Riley Hintz is now without a cell phone, computer or Nintendo gaming system following the raid on his home.

FOX 5 obtained bodycam video of the arrest, which officers say took place in his bedroom at his parents’ home last month. In it, a detective can be heard telling him as he is being handcuffed that his mother is not happy with him and that she will allow him to talk to her on the way out of the house and into jail.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit said it began investigating Hintz after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigator says there is evidence that he possesses child sexual abuse materials or child pornography.

FOX 5 was told he works at a local grocery store in the Newnan area. Deputies say they have charged him with one count of child sexual exploitation.

Officers say they confiscated all of his electronic devices, including his cell phone, computer and a Nintendo Switch.

Investigators say they will conduct an investigation into these devices and file additional charges depending on what they find.

Hintz was released from the Coweta County Jail on $26,000 bail.
