HICKSVILLE, Long Island (WABC) — An 11-year-old girl and two adults were hospitalized after a dog attack in Nassau County.

It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on Lantern Road in Hicksville

Other victims include the child’s 47-year-old mother and the homeowner – a 74-year-old woman, a friend of the mother’s family.

The girl was bitten on the face and has a puncture wound on her lip. Police say she was flown to Cohen Children’s Medical Center and is stable.

The mother and her friend were bitten on the legs. They are stable and have no life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the dog attacked when the mother and daughter got home and went through the backyard gate.
