12-year-old killed in tragic accident on a hayride

According to a news release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, 13-year-old Alexander Mick of Rice, Minnesota, died after being run over by a trolley car at the annual Harvest of Horror Haunted Hayride.

His father, Steven D. Mick, released a statement on Facebook. “Hello friends. As you can imagine, this is a devastating time for us. However, we are happy to know where Xander is and who he is with!” he wrote. “We are so blessed to have the support, prayers and condolences from so many people.

“We are still having difficulty choosing an image for the obituary. This is my favorite at the moment. This is him,” he added. “His infectious smile. His hair that you can pick out from the crowd. His life energy.”
