Boonville police are searching for a man after shots were fired during a domestic dispute

Boonville police said they are searching for a man involved in an incident involving shots fired during a domestic dispute.

Police officers were called to the 800 block of 4th Street at 9:26 p.m. Monday for shots fired.

Officers discovered that there had been a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

The victim said before she left, the man pointed a gun at her and fired it in her direction.

Officers were looking for the man.

A Facebook post on the police department’s page said there was no threat to the public and that they would release the man’s name once charges were filed.
