Police are investigating the Tuesday morning shooting in Waterville

WATERVILLE, Maine (WMTW) – Maine State Police confirm they are assisting in the investigation of a shooting in Waterville Tuesday morning. According to our affiliate WMTW, both the high school and middle school in Waterville are currently on lockdown.

A state police spokesman said the shooting occurred on Highwood Street.

State police are working with Waterville police in the investigation.
