A murder investigation has been launched after a 61-year-old was found dead

Chicago police launched a murder investigation after a 61-year-old man was found dead in the South Shore neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Officers discovered the man was unresponsive in the 7100 block of South East End Avenue around noon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released. The police did not provide any information about the man’s injuries or where the body was found.

There were no arrests. Area One detectives are leading the investigation.
