The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting some excellent news following the standout rookie center’s injury scare

Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier is doing well after suffering an ankle injury against the Las Vegas Raiders. Frazier went down on a running play when he was rolled up at the end of the attempt. Frazier remained on the field for nearly a minute before limping off.

Frazier tried to get back into the game by pleading his case to team doctors and even practicing snaps on the sideline, but Fraizer never returned. Ryan McCollum replaced Frazier and played the remainder of the game.

According to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, Frazier’s injury showed no structural damage and he is week-to-week injured. That’s about the best-case scenario that the Steelers could have found out about Frazier’s injury after it appeared he could have been injured much worse.

Frazier wore a walking boot after the game. He did not speak to reporters after the injury. The Steelers were hit with numerous injuries throughout the season throughout their offense. Starting right tackle James Daniels and right tackle Troy Fautanu will miss either the season or the remainder of the regular season. Top interior backup Nate Herbig is out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff.

Losing Frazier would be another blow to the Steelers’ offensive line. They face a fearsome Jets defensive line this week, and it looks like Frazier likely won’t play in this series.
