Bateburg man charged with attempted murder after stabbing, officials say

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – A Bateburg man has been charged with attempted murder.

According to Lexington County deputies, 38-year-old Jesse Jones is accused of stabbing a man to death Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Haven Road and found the victim and Jones getting into an argument prior to the stabbing.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and Jones was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.
