Robert Chukwuemeka Chuksorji held on $2 million bail; Police are asking any other victims to come forward

By Sgt. Whitaker #6155, Antioch Police Investigations Bureau

On June 24, 2024 at 6:36 a.m., Antioch Police arrested a suspect wanted for a violent sexual assault. During the investigation, several additional victims were identified and provided important information to the case. The Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau has begun investigating several cases over the past decade.

The suspect, 37-year-old Robert Chukwuemeka Chuksorji (born 10/17/87), met women either in person or online, obtained their phone number and began a text message relationship. Chuksorji then planned a meeting with the victim, which later led to a sexual assault. Chuksorji was eventually caught and charges were brought against him

During the investigation, investigators determined there may be additional unreported sexual assaults and victims associated with Chuksorji. Chuksorji may have used several other names over the years. If you have been a victim of this person, please contact the Antioch Police Department immediately.

He was still in custody as of Monday, October 14, 2024, according to the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office. The 6-foot, 175-pound Chuksorji is being held at the Martinez Detention Center. Bail is set at $2 million. His next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at Delta Superior Court, Dept. 04 in Pittsburg.

In 2017, Chuksorji was arrested by the Antioch Police Department on an outstanding warrant on July 27, 2016, according to localcrimenews.com.

This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time. Tips or other information can be directed to Antioch Police Detective Allen at (925) 779-6923 or email [email protected].
