The first six (of 120) personal injury lawsuits were filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs

The first six (of 120) personal injury lawsuits were filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs

After announcing two weeks ago that he was working with 120 people, including 25 minors, alleging sexual abuse against Sean “Diddy” Combs, Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee today filed his first six complaints in the Southern District of New York York one Rolling Stone. Citing the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, which extends the statute of limitations for crimes such as sexual assault, Buzbee represents four John Does and two Jane Does who allege sexual abuse between 1995 and 2021.

A certain John Doe claims he was 16 when Diddy molested him at one of the rapper and producer’s infamous White Parties in the Hamptons in 1998. The complaint states that Doe attended the party as a guest of a friend and “Combs showed interest in him.” Although Doe didn’t think he was much of a talent, Diddy reportedly assured him that it didn’t matter[…]Combs could turn Doe – or anyone else – into a star.” Doe claims Combs told the teen that “he had to drop his pants” so Combs could “inspect” his penis, which Combs described to Doe as “a rite of passage and “I have described the path to stardom and also as a way to prove myself.”

“Out of fear, anxiety and the unbalanced power dynamic between him and Combs, John Doe then dropped his pants and exposed his penis as Combs had previously instructed,” the filing states. “Combs approached and grabbed John Doe’s penis and genitals in his hand. He firmly grasped John Doe’s genitals and held them for an extended period of time. During this time, Combs moved his hand so that he was manipulating John Doe’s genitals by squeezing and feeling them…Combs then abruptly released John Doe’s genitals and told him that his people would stay in touch. Combs continued his party as if nothing had happened, but for John Doe everything had changed.”

Buzbee claims there are other allegations against minors. “When we talk about the age of the victims at the time of the conduct, it is shocking,” Buzbee said at an Oct. 1 news conference. “Our youngest victim was nine years old at the time of the incident. We have one person who was 14 years old. We have one who was 15.”

Combs continues to deny the allegations. In a statement, his legal team said: “[Combs] I cannot address every unsubstantiated claim in what has become a ruthless media circus. However, Mr. Combs strongly and categorically denies as false and defamatory any allegation that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
