Belvidere man accused of sexually abusing minors

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – A 52-year-old man arrested over the weekend faces up to 15 years in prison.

Eloy A. Salazar is charged with criminal sexual assault.

Around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Belvidere police were dispatched to a home in the 900 block of Logan Ave. sent to receive a report of sexual assault against a minor. After police arrested him, investigators met with the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office and approved the felony charge.
