FIRST LOOK PICTURES AND TEASER TAILERS FOR THE SKY DRAMA WITH COLIN FIRTH

Colin Firth and Catherine McCormack lead the cast of Lockerbie: A Search For Truth, a Sky Original limited series in which McCormack plays the role of Jane Swire, the wife of Dr. Jim Swire (Firth).

Both Jim and Jane tragically lost their beloved daughter Flora in the devastating terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988. The powerful five-part series explores their search for justice since then.

In addition to McCormack and Firth, Sam Troughton (Chernobyl) as Murray Guthrie, Mark Bonnar (Napoleon, Guilt) as Roderick McGill, Andy Nyman (A Small Light, Judy) as Edwin Bollier and Ardalan Esmaili (Opponent) will also join the cast Abdelbaset al- Megrahi and Selwa Jghalef (Layers) as Aisha.

On December 21, 1988, 259 passengers and crew died when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie 38 minutes after takeoff. Another 11 residents died when the plane crashed over the quiet Scottish town.

After the disaster and the death of his daughter, Dr. Jim Swire (Firth) appointed spokesman for the families of the British victims who have come together to demand truth and justice. Traveling across continents and political divides, Jim embarks on a relentless journey that not only endangers his stability, his family and his life, but also completely destroys his trust in the justice system. As the truth changes beneath Jim’s feet, his view of the world is forever tainted.

Lockerbie examines the events of the disaster and its aftermath, providing an intimate account of a man, a husband, and a father who risks everything in memory of his daughter and in the unwavering pursuit of truth and justice.

The five-part series is a co-production between Carnival Films, a Universal International Studios company, and Sky Studios.
