Woman killed in crash in McLean County

MCLEAN COUNTY (25News Now) – A 20-year-old woman died after a car accident north of Normal early Sunday.

The accident occurred on northbound I-39 near Hudson.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder said Mayah G. Butzman, of Maple Park, near DeKalb, was pronounced dead about 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Yoder said Butzman was the only occupant of the vehicle who left the roadway. Preliminary autopsy results indicate Butzman died from multiple blunt injuries.

Toxicology tests are still pending. Yoder’s office and the Illinois State Police are investigating.
