ROANE OFFICIALS RESPOND TO MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS – 3B Media News

The Kingston Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-40 westbound near mile marker 356 around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to Kingston Fire Chief Willie Gordon, there were only minor injuries.

Gordon said they also made a call just after 12:30 Saturday afternoon and notified a person who was cutting down a tree on James Ferry Road, with the tree striking the man. He had to be taken to hospital.

Friday afternoon, multiple crashes on I-40 west of Harriman resulted in traffic being held in one lane for several hours as a multi-vehicle accident needed to be resolved. Another accident occurred around 4:00 p.m. westbound just over the Clinch River bridge with minor injuries. This incident also resulted in traffic being restricted to one lane.
