Accident with overturned truck closes CCC bridge

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – An accident involving an overturned truck has closed all westbound lanes of US 90B on the Crescent City Connection Bridge.

The crash occurred shortly before noon.

Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.

Traffic was also backed up on Clearview Pkwy in Metairie approaching the Huey P. Long Bridge.

Louisiana State Police are investigating the crash.

There are currently no known injuries.
