Natchitoches woman was arrested after she reportedly fired a gun at her friend’s house and fled from police

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KSLA) – Natchitoches Police responded to reports of shots fired on October 12 at approximately 11:53 p.m.

The incident occurred in the 800 block of Clarence Drive.

Upon arrival, officers said the victim told them that her friend, 25-year-old Aniya Davis, fired a gun after an argument at her home and then left the area.

Sheriff’s deputies later spotted Davis driving on Airport Road and attempted to pull her over. They say she stopped the car and led officers on a short chase before she was caught and arrested. A Glock 9mm was reportedly found in her possession.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault on a partner and resisting an officer while fleeing.
