Jamie Foxx reflects on his return to the stage after a health scare

Jamie Foxx is thinking about returning to the stage after his health scare.

The comedian shared a statement on Instagram as he returns to doing stand-up comedy. “God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and soul are filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3rd and 5th I had the opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta, Georgia.” he wrote.

“I have to thank you, Atlanta, for showing up and showing yourself. I haven’t been on stage in 18 years, but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was nothing but pure love, and that was you.” When people ask me if this is stand-up comedy- Show is, I say no, that’s an artistic explanation. Something went terribly wrong, but thanks to the great people in Atlanta, especially at Piedmont Hospital, they made it possible for me to come back and get on stage and do what I love to do… #nobaddays, like my guy James would say #secondchance, thank you ATLANTA..”

Foxx is feeling like himself again, as we previously reported in a heartfelt, lengthy Instagram post. The actor expressed, “You see a man who is grateful…finally starting to feel like himself…it’s been an unexpected, dark journey…but I can see the light…” The post continues : “I am grateful to everyone who has reached out and sent well wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… They just don’t know how much this means… I will thank you all personally… and if you do “I wouldn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day, every day…”

This came after Foxx experienced an unknown medical emergency that landed him in the hospital.
