Charlottesville man taken into custody after shooting caught on video

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Charlottesville Police Department announced it has taken a man into custody on weapons charges in connection with a shooting on September 9th.

According to CPD, Charlottesville resident Kaijon Cortez Sholes was taken into custody on Friday, October 11th.

Sholes is charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

According to Charlottesville Police, this incident remains under investigation.

The shooting occurred in the area of ​​2nd Street and Monticello Avenue. This was one of four shootings officers responded to on September 9th.
