Nurses hit outside Philly hospital, vehicle found: reports

PHILADELPHIA – Three nurses were struck by a runaway vehicle while treating a shooting victim outside a Philadelphia hospital this weekend.

It all happened around 4 a.m. Saturday outside Penn Presbyterian Hospital, NBC10 reports.

According to Fox 29, the nurses were struck by a silver Jeep Cherokee that initially drove past the ambulance ramp but then drove away and hit them as they were tending to a 28-year-old shooting victim.

Authorities found the Jeep in Upper Darby and said it was a rental vehicle, Action News reports.

Two of the nurses are in stable condition while the third is in critical condition.
