Flashback: When Hrithik Roshan remembered working with Rajinikanth as a child in Bhagwaan Dada; “He forgave me for a lot of things I must have done.”

Rajinikanth needs no introduction. The legendary actor enjoys a huge fan base across the world. Apart from the public, several actors from the Indian film industry have also expressed their admiration for Thalaivar at various events and expressed their desire to share screen space with him. Actors like Kajol, Salman Khan and Suriya among others have spoken openly about their love and respect for Rajinikanth. Similarly, Hrithik Roshan once shared his experience of working with the legendary actor in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada.

In a promotional interview for his then upcoming film Kaabil in 2017, Hrithik Roshan spoke about his experience of working with Rajinikanth in J Om Prakash’s directorial. He said, “What should I say to Rajinikanth sir? I’m speechless. When I was a child, I always thought Rajini sir was my friend during Bhagwaan Dada. He was very merciful back then because he knew that I was a child, and he forgave me for many things that I must have done and said back then.

Furthermore, the War actor recalled that during the shoot, whenever the director called for a cut due to a mistake in his dialogue, Rajinikanth acted as if it was his own fault and never made Hrithik feel like he had during takes did something wrong. “Rajini sir used to say, ‘Sorry, I made a mistake.’ He would take the blame and make me feel like it wasn’t my fault. Till date, I remember it with so much love in my heart,” Hrithik Roshan added.
