PUNE: A 32-year-old man is said to have a. have been sexually abused four year old girl in the Mundhwa Pune area on Monday. The girl’s parents, who work as unskilled laborers, are friends with the defendant.
On Sunday afternoon, the girl’s parents were not at home and left her in the care of her older sister. The accused visited her home and took the girl to his house, the official added.
When the girl’s mother returned, she asked her elder daughter to bring the girl back. The daughter then informed her mother about the attack.
The mother confronted the defendant, who fled and is currently on the run. She then approached the police and a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, the official said.
