A dead heat? Trump is winning in the polls, “Harris honeymoon” is over, US election day is approaching

The “Harris honeymoon” is over and the presidential race is undecided just three weeks before the Nov. 5 election, polls from three major news networks show.

Trump has regained his footing after seeing a small dip in support following his only debate appearance against Vice President Kamala Harris, according to an NBC News poll released Sunday.

“In the new poll, conducted October 4-8, in a head-to-head matchup, Harris receives the support of 48 percent of registered voters, while Trump receives an identical 48 percent. Another 4 percent say they would be undecided or would not vote for either option if they had to choose between the two major party candidates,” NBC wrote.

According to the pollsters who conducted the survey on behalf of the news outlet, “the race is a dead heat.”

“As summer turned into fall, there was no sign of momentum for Kamala Harris,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt.
