Police are searching for the suspect in the Springville shooting

SPRINGVILLE, Utah, October 13, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – Police in Springville are searching for a gunman who shot and injured another man at the victim’s home late Sunday afternoon.

In an interview Sunday evening, Lt. Foster, springville police public information officer, told the Gephardt Daily officers were called to the scene near 1327 West 50 North around 5:10 p.m

When police arrived, they found an adult male who had been shot three times.

“The suspect ran north from the scene; Multiple agencies converged on the area to search for the suspect but were unable to locate him,” Foster said.

“The crime scene was secured and the victim was transported to hospital. He is expected to recover from his injuries.”

Foster said it remains to be determined whether the shooting was a random event or whether the victim was intentionally targeted.
