A Japanese school in Shenzhen decided to resume in-person classes from Monday, about a month after a student was stabbed on his way to school.

After the knife attack, Shenzhen Japanese School held classes online until security measures were put in place.

According to the Japanese Consulate General in Guangzhou, all children walking to school will be picked up and dropped off by bus or car, and there will also be online classes.

The 10-year-old boy was attacked on his way to school, which is why some students are still concerned. Security guards were also deployed at bus stops that students use to get to school, and the consulate called on city authorities to increase security.
