Aliceville man killed in car crash in Pickens County

An Aliceville man died Saturday evening after a car accident in his home area, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said 61-year-old Ricky D. Rice was driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra when it rolled over and left Franconia Road about two miles south of Carrollton.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Rice, who was from Aliceville, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bailey said the accident occurred near the intersection of Franconia Road and Mount Calvary Road in Pickens County.

No further details were available on Sunday evening.
