The Jayhawks started their season with a stunning 48-3 victory over Lindenwood. However, Kanas would lose the next five games, losing to Illinois, UNLV, West Virginia, TCU and Arizona State during that time.

In their last game against Arizona State, the Jayhawks held a 17-14 lead heading into the final quarter. From then on, however, Kansas gave up 21 points and ultimately lost 35-31. Jalon Daniels rushed for 260 yards with two scores and Devin Neal led the ground attack with 14 carries for 71 yards and a TD.

I might try Kansas. However, one could argue this either way. The Cougars defense was pretty good with four takeaways and 3 of 10 third down attempts allowed. If the Cougars can get their running game going this weekend, they will make life pretty difficult for the Jayhawks. However, when it comes to the cover, I’m still leaning slightly towards Kansas.
