Police investigate fatal crash in central Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Blondo Street and Keystone Drive.

The statement said 69-year-old Stanley Wilder lost control of his pickup truck and entered the westbound lane after traveling eastbound.

Wilder’s truck then collided with another truck, left the road, overturned and then crashed into a fence and a parked car, pinning him.

Wilder was then freed by Omaha Fire Department personnel and taken to CHI Bergan Mercy, where he died.

The driver and passenger of the other truck were uninjured.

According to the police, the investigation is still ongoing.
