One was injured in an early morning shooting downtown, according to Waco police

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Waco Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Waco that left one person injured early Sunday morning.

When officers arrived at the scene around 1:40 a.m., police said they found a person with a gunshot wound near 5th St. and Austin Ave. found. The person was taken to the hospital and was expected to be OK, according to Waco PD.

There were no arrests.
