PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) – A Boca Raton man hit a man on an electric bicycle (e-bike) Saturday morning, but is not accused of wrongdoing as of Sunday morning. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the e-bike did not have reflective equipment or taillights, and the seriously injured man was not wearing any reflective or protective items at the time of the accident.

According to PBSO, Woodley Felix Jean Gelibert of West Palm Beach was traveling westbound on Forest Hill Blvd around 10 a.m. Saturday without lights or protective gear. He wrote on a KGK e-bike 2024.

At the same time, Francisco Moreno of Boca Raton – in an Audi Q7 – was also traveling west on Forest HIll Boulevard just behind Gelibert. According to police, Moreno was unable to identify Gelibert or his bike until the collision.

“The front left side of the Audi hit the rear of the e-bike. When the accident occurred, Gelibert was thrown over the handlebars of the e-bike and ended up in the inner west lane of Forest Hill Blvd. to stand. The e-bike came to an uncontrolled stop west of Gelibert.”

Woodley Gelibert was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. No charges were filed. Moreno was not injured.
