Mamunur Rashid returns as a television drama director after 25 years

Veteran actor Mamunur Rashid, known for his extensive career in Bangladeshi cinema and television since the 1970s, is back in the director’s chair after 25 years. He is directing a new TV drama series titled Choron Chuye Jai, which he also wrote the screenplay for.

The actor has already shot 30 episodes and the series is set to air on Channel I. The drama revolves around the life and events surrounding a school.

Mamunur Rashid shared that he not only directed the series but also played a central character. “In every project, I try to portray people’s lives, values ​​and social elements, and this drama is no different,” he said.

Rashid previously directed Bangladesh’s first drama series ‘Shilpi’ and other popular shows like ‘Shundori’ and ‘Danob’. He received numerous awards for his contributions to acting, including the National Film Award.
