Boone County man arrested on 50 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material

A Boone County man was arrested on 50 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and other charges following an investigation by the Arkansas Crimes Against Children Task Force, Arkansas State Police (ASP) and the Harrison Police Department. At the Boone County Detention Center, 38-year-old Justin Neal Purkuhn of Omaha is being held on $750,000 bail.

According to an ASP news release, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Perkuhn’s home after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

During the investigation, investigators discovered that Perkuhn initiated a graphic chat with a 17-year-old girl in which he exchanged nude photos of two minors. Perkuhn had also uploaded 34 videos and six images of child pornography to a cloud-based server.

A search of the suspect’s cell phone uncovered additional images, videos and child sexual abuse information, allowing officers to identify and locate two victims living in the area.

In addition to the 50 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, Perkuhn also faces one count of computer exploitation of a child, one count of video voyeurism of an adult and one count of video voyeurism of a child.
