Did Savannah Guthrie just let it slip that she was also leaving the “Today” show?

When Hoda Kotb announced her decision to step away from the Today show, it certainly sent shockwaves. Following the Sept. 26 news, could Savannah Guthrie be the next to step away from NBC’s morning flagship? The fan-favorite host seemed to hint that changes could be coming in her life when she spoke to Us Weekly at Project Healthy Minds’ 2nd Annual World Mental Health Day Gala in New York on October 10. Speaking about her co-host, she described this relationship saying: “We are dear friends and we have a lot in common. “We are basically in the same phase of life,” the 52-year-old continued. Given the upheaval caused by Kotb’s impending exit, NBC likely won’t want Savannah to follow suit. A Page Six source even went so far as to say, “She’s the beating heart of Today.” There’s so much support for her.
