The Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos meet in NFL action on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High. Here is a prediction for Denver Broncos vs. LA Chargers. We’ll look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best pick between the Broncos and Chargers.

Los Angeles Chargers betting preview

The Chargers had a pretty good start to this year with two wins. These came with 22:10 against the Las Vegas Raiders and 26:3 against the Carolina Panthers. However, LA was eliminated in the third game, losing on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-10.

The Chargers’ fourth game also ended in a loss, leaving the team only 2-2 overall. LA hosted the Kansas City Chiefs, who failed to score in the final three quarters, by a score of 17-10. QB Justin Herbert finished with 179 passing yards and a TD.

Denver Broncos betting preview

The Broncos lost their first two games against the Seahawks 26-20 and the Steelers 13-6. However, Denver bounced back with wins in the next pair against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-7 and the New York Jets 10-9.

In last weekend’s game against the Raiders, the Broncos trailed 10-0 after the first quarter. However, Denver gained momentum in the final three quarters and ultimately won 34-18. Denver Broncos vs LA Chargers Prediction

I’m staying with the Broncos. Denver has a winning record in five games thanks to some rough play. However, in their last win, the Broncos mustered just 289 yards of offense (180 passes), 18 first downs and 3 of 12 on third-down attempts – not to mention nine penalties. Denver’s defense had three interceptions on the other side, and the Raiders’ eleven penalties didn’t hurt either.

As for the Chargers, they were cold after the first quarter in their recent loss to the Chiefs. LA ended up totaling just 224 yards (169 passes), 4.2 yards per play, 12 first downs and nine penalties in a pretty tough effort. However, the Chargers had a little more time to rest and prepare for this game, so I guess they’ll be competitive here. However, I don’t think LA will fully cover that.
