1 dead, 2 hospitalized in shooting at Harvest Homecoming

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WAVE) – One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after a shooting Saturday night on the third night of the Harvest Homecoming Festival in New Albany.

New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey confirmed that one person was dead at the scene and the other two were taken to the hospital for their injuries. They are expected to live.

The screaming occurred just after 9:50 p.m. near State Street at Black Street, near the rides at Harvest Homecoming.

Bailey also said the suspect was a black man with dreadlocks and wearing a red hoodie. He is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
