Tragic suicide attempt by 18-year-old after harassment case | Indore News

Indore: An 18-year-old girl tried to end her life by setting herself on fire on Saturday morning, just four days after she filed a harassment complaint against a youth Khandwa District. She was spoken to Indore for further treatment with 30% Burns.
The girl had filed a harassment complaint against her 55-year-old uncle-in-law on October 7. Police took the accused into custody and produced him in court but he was granted bail. After his release, the accused and his three people were released. Allegedly, the sons attacked the victim’s family with sticks and batons, which led to another complaint to the police.
Ashok Singh Chauhan, superintendent of Kotwali police station, said that the girl made an attempt after the incident suicide by dousing herself with a flammable liquid and starting a fire.
