Fans are calling for the UAB coach to be fired after another disappointing loss

Trent Dilfer is firmly on the hot seat after Week 7, if he wasn’t already.

Dilfer’s UAB Blazers dominated for the third straight game on Saturday, losing to Army 44-10. The team hasn’t won since a Week 1 win over FCS Alcorn State. Since then, the team has outscored 225 to 81 and is now 1-5.

Last season, when Dilfer was first at the helm, things didn’t go much better, with the team finishing the season 4-8. This came after the team had appeared in a bowl game in the previous two seasons.

Now, after the bankruptcy at Army, fans have seen enough of Dilfer as head of UAB. Fans and media members flocked to social media following the loss to voice their opinions on the state of the program.

The Blazers will have another chance at a win in Week 8 against South Florida. However, it is unclear whether Dilfer will be the coach of this game.
