A hearing was held in the Prizren court against the defendant for the gruesome murder of his sister.

Senad Kullaj from Shkodra is accused of deliberately and cruelly depriving his sister Ingrid Kullaj of her life in Prizren in 2013 for base motives.

The indictment dates back to 2018 because he was on the run and inaccessible to justice.

The defendant was arrested and brought to the Prizren court after the international arrest warrant was issued.

Kullaj was extradited from Albania to Kosovo.

In the judicial examination at the session chaired by Raima Elezi, Chairperson of the Trial Committee, and members Sabahete Kurtishi and Vjollca Buzhala, Iftiman Kurtaj, a taxi driver by profession, testified at the suggestion of the prosecutor of the case, Mehdi Sefa.

The defendant Senad Kullaj’s defense lawyer, lawyer Ndrec Dodaj, rejects the charges.

According to him, the Prizren Prosecutor’s Office is accusing the wrong person, because, in his opinion, the defendant here, Senad Kullaj, does not deny the fact that he was in Prizren to meet his sister, but he did not commit the act in any way whatsoever crime is accused.

According to lawyer Ndrec Doda, it is illogical that he killed his sister by stabbing her 14 times in different parts of her body.

The lawyer said that all this will be confirmed after hearing the witnesses, although the defendant has not explained anything about this.

According to the lawyer, during the interrogation of the accused and during his defense, the fact is proven and disclosed that he did not commit the crime with which he is accused.

According to the indictment of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Prizren, the June 2013 event in Prizren, in which the victim Ingrid Kullaj was cruelly killed by her brother Senad Kullaj, occurred between 03:00 and 06:00 in the morning. The accused Senad Kullaj met, according to the indictment with Sead Halilajn to visit the victim Ingrid Kullaj, who worked as a singer and dancer in Mitrovica, they met in Prizren.

According to the prosecution, after the defendant Senad Kullaj disagreed with his sister Ingrid about her work as a dancer and singer in nightclubs, the defendant Senad Kullaj suddenly began hitting his sister in various places with a knife with a 21.3 cm long blade. on the body, on the back, several times on the head and neck.
