Emergency services are responding to a plane crash in Kanawha County, dispatchers say

JEFFERSON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Emergency services responded to a plane crash in Kanawha County that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Reports of the crash came in at Mallory Airport in Jefferson Parish around 2:30 p.m. The aircraft was a small, single-engine aircraft.

According to officials, there were three passengers on board, a father and sons. The pilot was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the two passengers suffered minor bruises after the crash.

Authorities said the pilot was practicing landings when a wind shift occurred that pushed the plane into a hillside.

Multiple emergency responders responded to the scene and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the incident.
