Halloween party shooting: 1 dead, at least 12 injured in Oklahoma City

A shooting at a Halloween party in Oklahoma City left one person dead and 12 others injured, police said.

Capt. Valerie Littlejohn of the Oklahoma City Police Department told The Associated Press in an email that multiple shots were fired inside and outside a private venue around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The police reported this to the local police KOCO 5 news agency that the shooting began when two groups got into an argument and that police believed several people fired shots.

KFOR 4 reports The shooting occurred at a location called Patty’s Events Center, where a Halloween party was being held.

Further details about the event were not known.

Littlejohn said at least two of the injured were in critical condition at a hospital. The police did not provide any information about the deceased.

Several people were arrested and investigators interviewed witnesses.
